Community and Social Action
We look to serve at the heart of our local communities in a variety of different ways:
An intiative offering friendship and practical help to homeless people in Warrington, through detached work and drop-in sessions.
A LifeChurch run project that provides for the practical needs of new mums and their babies.
Early Essentials works with local health agencies to identify those in need of this service.
Serving a free meal and offering hospitality to those living in our communities.
The Community Meals happen once a month in Latchford, Lymm and in Great Sankey.
A vibrant weekly café based in the Westy Community Centre, serving tea, coffee and cake for a small donation. For more information, click here:
A LifeChurch project that gives supplementary food pantry assistance, providing food to those who need it most, in the face of limited access to local food banks
CAP (Christians Against Poverty) is an amazing organisation that offers debt counselling and debt consolidation to those who have problems with debt.
At LifeChurch we have our own CAP manager, Pete Clarke, who meets with people all across Warrington to offer vital help. Visit https://capuk.org for more details.
As an extension of this, we also run a CAP Money Course, which helps with better budgeting, to keep people from ever getting into debt or going back into debt.
TLG is a Christian charity that helps churches to bring hope and a future for struggling children.
From school exclusion, to poverty and holiday hunger, there are children across the UK facing some of the toughest starts in life. LifeChurch supports this organisation and provides mentors in our localities.
